found nice prop??

I have a olg 35 hp Gale wards that i am gonna bassically give to a guy for a few bucks , becasue its only worth is for parts ,, however i found the prop to this motor that is beautiful brass,, not a nic on it , is this prop worth any thing??? should i try n get a few more dollar out of this guy if this guy wants it or is really worth some money ,,let me hear your opinions ,, thanks guys

The brass props are nice - on a wall. I prefer to keep the brass/bronze props for show, and an aluminum for go. Those old Johnrude/Gale lower units take more of a beating with the bronze props than an aluminum prop. The bronze wheels are heavier and put more stress on the clutch dog and gear engagement. With vintage lower unit parts getting more expensive and scarce, I prefer to run with an aluminum... They're also nice with a rig that goes to shows and sees limited actual use, as the bronze wheels look sweet all buffed out.

they are not worth much, except to someone that has the correct motor, or a collector, decorator.

awesome for decorations ,i collect a few couldn't tell you what make/brand or anything like that but they sure are nice decorator pieces around the house and bar area...

It is a Michigan propeller!! stamped right on it ... I might just hang on to it as a keep sake.
