I'm still a rookie at all this. But I did find this today at a yard sale. The lady did not know much about it. But I noticed it has a 19 spline hub kit. But only one peice. ""Is there supposed to be 2 ??" And it's a 21 pitch SS QS. I can't tell the diameter I'll have to get a tape measure out. But right now the boat had an aluminum 14.5 by 19 pitch. Top rpm is around 4600 I think. Maybe a bit less. I understand this SS prop will inhance top end. But will it still give me a good hole shot for jerking up fat skiers and not to much stress on components. Thanks Bret!!

If your currently getting 4600 rpm at WOT with a 19 pitch prop, then you don't to go to a 21 pitch. You will loose hole shot, and may gain a slight bit top end, but the motor will be lugging for the most part.

The prop should be a 13.75 x 21

It just seemed like it was between 4400-4600 rpms When the took it out for the first time a month ago. I did not note my top rpms it would reach. Because I new nothing about props ,, I just remember it was some were around that maybe plus or minus a couple hundred. So your saying if my top rpm I can reach is 4200-4400. I could use this SS 21. I just don't want a prop taking me over 4600-4800. ?? Correct. When I go out in a week at so I'm going to pay attention to the boats performance and data log performance. I didn't really want to use a SS prop in case or a freak prop strike, but for 20$. I said what the heck!!

You want your WOT rpm between 4400 and 4800. Achieving closer to 4800 is better then 4400 IMO. The rule of thumb is, for ever inch in pitch increase your rpm will drop by 200 rpms. Same with decreasing pitch by one inch will increase your rpm by 200 rpm.

So if your getting 4600-4800 with a 19 pitch, going to a 21 pitch we can estimate a drop and max will be between 4400-4600

My bad. I Under stand what you are saying now. This 21 will further lower my rpms thus lugging the motor. I would have to be hitting around 5000 rpms with the 19 pitch. To use the 21. Because it would drop my rpms by around 400. And hole shot would suffer no matter what. Got it. Wish I would have payed more attention to the boats Wot and rpms / speed. I will do this next time. Out. Maybe I can find some one that's willing to trade for an SS 14.5by19p. On the forums.
