That is not an internal engine part, I can tell you that for sure. How it got there, who knows.

You had a Bic lighter and a kuniffuly pin in your oil pan :eek:

Well the Bic I can claim the pin had me stumped... The timing cover was off for a while it must of jumped in in the night thanks Don

Sounds kind of like the "surgeon left a sponge" in the patient kind of story.

As for the other small chunks of metal, I'd venture a guess that you will find where they are missing from in the rest of your engine rebuild. I would guess that they are part of a piston based on the look of the cast metal.

Looks like a pin that holds my bimini. Can remove it to lower the Bimini.
