Four Winns 200 Horizon

Looking at a 2006 leftover 200 Horizon with a 5.0 Mercruiser. It's a 30th Anniversary Edition, loaded with pretty much everything I'd need. Price seems very reasonable.

My second option is a 2007 Sea Ray 185 Sport. This boat has a 4.3 Merc. Aside from that the specs are very similar. The Sea Ray is about two grand less, which is mainly due to the engine and trailer.

Any feedback on Four Winns would be appreciated.

I have had two Sea Rays and currently own a Four Winns 180 Horizon. Both companies make very nice boats that will last for years if taken care of. I would personally go for the FW because of the 5.0 and it has a few extra nice features that the Sea Ray does not have (walk-over transom and cooler storage if you are getting the sunsport version). The integrated swim platform of the FW is also larger than the Sea Ray and the FW has storage everywhere. The FW trailer also has disc surge brakes which is nice if towing with a smaller vehicle, the Sea Ray EZ Load trailer does not usually come with this as a standard feature. But again, these are both very nice boats and these are only my opinions.

Boat Crazy is dead on, both SR and FW make very nice boats. I'm partial to the FW's, SR's always seemed to be priced higher when I compared the 2.
We have a 1999 200 Horizon SS, we've run it for
7 summers, it has been bullet proof, it has around
400 hours on it.
Before that, we ran a FW 170 Freedom, without any
issue's.
We never see the same fit and finish issue's that
some of our boating friends see with their boats,
I won't mention brand names, but I can say, they
are neither SR's or FW's brand boats.

I just sold my 185 sport and purchased a new four winns. the fit and finish is great on the FW and I think in your case the larger engine, larger size and more weight will make you much more happy in the long run. Enjoy...
