Hi everybody, greetings from Finland!

I'm planning buying a boat, but not a new one. I'm interested in Four Winns 215 Sundowner-boats around the -90's. I really like the shape of the boat and also the cuddy cabin. Also in my opinion, the older one's are not so "white" inside....

A guy here is selling his 215 Sundowner from -90. It seems to be in good shape, but what things should I check before buying? The engine is OMC Cobra 3,6 V6 175 hp.

I'm grateful for any tips!

From the land of midnight sun,
Tommi

The biggest issue you'll face with this boat is trying to service or repair the engine and drive. OMC went out of business years ago and I expect it will be impossible for you to find a qualified technician to service your boat. I suggest you limit your choice of boat to those with Mercruiser or Volvo drives.

I have a Cobra drive as well but I service it myself. You can learn more by checking the OMC section of the forums.
