After some research and price comparisons I've decided to tackle a seal repair on my 2011 Four Winns H190 steering actuator. Everything until now has been very smooth, however I'm having trouble removing the power steering rod from the cable attachment, see below. The vice is as tight as I can get it yet the rod still moves when I attempt to torque off the cable attachment end. I've cleaned the rod with a household cleaning solution and have even tried placing different materials between the rod and wood to increase friction, all have failed. Any advice?
