Fourth of July Follies

We had perfect weather for two fireworks shows on the fourth and fifth. The ramp etiquette was great so no entertainment there. I did have a great time watching all the folks attempting to anchor that had no idea how to do it. Most had the wrong anchor and others thought 20 foot of rope in 30 foot water would work fine. It was very amusing. Anyone else have any good stories from the weekend ?

Re: Fourth of July Follies

I was surprised that I was out on the lake for 2 days (spent the night) and did not see too much craziness. Saw some people at the ramps having a difficult time but nothing out of the normal, saw people putting out way too little anchor line, had one guy in an empty cove anchor about 100 feet away from me which I thought was strange. No broken down boats, no fires, no drama. I did how ever see more POS boats smoking so bad you would have thought there was a fire and people who don't know how to drive but that is to be expected.
