I know quit being a cheap free loader and buy one but I'll ask anyway.

Can anyone point me to a free video editor download that will edit .mov files and doesn't watermark your video? I just need a basic something that I can time edit and string clips together for a coherent Youtube video.

Re: Free Video Editing Software?

Guess I should of mentioned I'm using XP,

I did commandeer the wife's laptop which does have 7. I put it on there but it doesn't like something about the audio that my stupid Q3 uses.

It does seem to be pretty good and easy to use from the little bit of playing I did.

Thanks for the suggestion NYBo, I did some looking and it looks like there may be a fix for it but I'll save that for another day that I'm bored.

Thanks dolluper but that one wouldn't even try to open the video.

LOL Being as both my cameras take movies in Quicktime that thought had crossed my mind but blows my free budget. I think I may just have to spend the $30 for QTPro as its cheaper and I think it will do the simpleness that I want to do.

Kind of trying to stay away from converters as I haven't been happy with the results from the ones I've found so far. However I'll give those a try when I have more time to mess with it.

First, I forgot to say thanks! That is just what what I needed and it does do much more than just convert.

I had more time to play with it today and it lets you bring all your clips in at once, trim/edit them, and will run them together with (or without) a simple fade transition. Then once done it converts it into a completed movie all at once. All quickly and very easily. :) This took about a half hour to knock out.
