Fresh fuel

Hey guys, How long can fuel be stored befor it is not considered fresh. I only get to use my boat maybe every other weekend and have a problem with the engine sputtering when i use the previous outings remaining fuel. When I empty the tank and put "Fresh Fuel" with the 50:1 mix it runs fine. I have a 72 25hp eninrude. Any Ideas?

If your symptoms are right, then not very long, in your case. Add some fuel stabilizer to your fuel each time, according to the directions on the product. Stabil works well, as does Sea Foam.<br /><br />Fuel should last longer than a couple of weeks, but the answer is still the stabilizer.
