24 ft cruiser fresh water system. Pump builds intermittent pressure, plumbing is good, suspect it's the little diaphragm pump. Agree? Other things to consider? Source for replacement pump? Pump-replacing tips? Click image for larger version Name:	pumps (1).jpg Views:	2 Size:	64.1 KB ID:	10555898

Usually those pumps fail after 5-10 years. So, yes, probably the pump.

You can Google your way to replacement sources. It looks like the 2088-423-344 pump is no longer available (?) and a 4138-111-E65 may be a replacement.

Installation is easy as long as you get good access to the fittings. Don't over tighten them upon installation.

Thanks tp.
Are the new pumps' higher gpm and pressure just a bonus, and due to the fact the company is making (or is having made) more efficient, "better" pumps now - and increases from original spec are OK?

Recommend Shur-flo, or other?

I would not go too high in pressure. For example, the original pump is 45 psi and 2.8 gal/min flow rate. You could go to 55 psi and a higher flow rate, but I would be concerned about going to the 65+ psi range, as your plumbing may not like the extra pressure.
