Fried Stator

I fubared! I hooked up my batteries incorrect when I installed my new 3 bank charger. the perko battery switch was on off but my mach. says I probaly fried my recifiers and switch boxes also. is that true? I thought the battery switch would stop any vlotage going to the engine! He's ( gonna go over it tomarrow, does that sound kosher? the hook up on the batteries was on the post for a good 10 min before I tried out the charger...thats when I new I fubared, all the lights on the charger lite up... check connections

if the switch was off,then you are lucky,but if the power got back to the engine wiring then the switch is for sure fried,test the rectifier.
