Fried Wire -- Is this okay to fix it?

There is a wire (black with white stripe) that comes out from under the flywheel. It goes into a multi-wire plug. This plug then plugs into the pulse pack.

So, as the black wire comes out from under the flywheel, the insulation is rotted and the wiring is exposed a little bit right before the wires go into the plug. The wiring is also heavily oxidized.

There really isn't enough good wire coming out of the plug to make a patch wire.

So, I was thinking that maybe I could cut the black wire with white stripe before the plug (where the metal is still good) and cut the wire from the pulse back just before it's plug, and simply wire them together.

I know this is confusing, but I hope this makes sense.

All I really want to do is "jump" the plug connection for this one wire. Is this okay?

I was afraid that maybe other wires might be connected to this wire inside the plug or something.

Thanks.

Sure it is. I would suggest using bullet connectors at the joints for future replacement reasons, but it should be fine anyway.
