Hi guys,I am looking at a 96 150 ocean pro evinrude to replace my tired 82 115 evinrude on my 17ft Mako.Will it adapt to the existing controls??????Charlie
I already assumed the 150 was a little big but i dont have many choices.I have been looking for a used motor since October and the only ones that I have come up with that are in my price range are either too big or too small and too old.This is the first clean,newer motor that I can afford.My second choice is an 82 140 johnson but I really dont want to replace a salty old motor with another less salty old motor.I think the 150 weighs about another 60 lbs.I understand the point.What would the harness cost???Charlie
<br /><br />I suspect even the 115 is overpower.<br /><br />If my suspicion is right it would be a very bad idea.
