I sold the searay with the old 470 even though it served us well last year and we didnt have any problems out of it. I took the cash from that sale and bought a 1991 Wellcraft Eclipse 232. It has a 5.7 Magnum and a corrosion pitted Alpha one outdrive. The drive housing will most likely make it through the next season but what else do you guys reccomend that I look out for on this particular boat and motor?

There are two spots where the floor is springy but I have looked at the wood and the support underneath. Both are solid and not rotten or wet. All in all it looks pretty solid and came with a dual axle trailer.

Drive and transom sheild wise, it's basically the same thing as the 470 for maintenance, except it may be an alpha I Gen II, nothing special about the 5.7. It's a Chevy V8. Nothing wierd or strange about it. They are everywhere. Just download the manual, for your engine and drive (see adults only sticky) , and follow the maint. schedules in them.
