Front Engine mount Measurements for 5.7 Merc?

I am restoring a Carlson CXV-18 and I need to rebuilt the engine mounts after replacing the stringers. We took great measurements, but forgot one crucial detail. In the past I have put the engine on a hoist and lowered it down, screwed in the rear mounts, slipped in the alignment bar, got it close with the hoist, and then took measurements. Well my engine is way across town and it would be a pain in the butt to have to get get it.

Are there any published measurements on what the front motor mounts are in relation to the rears?

Ayuh,.... The way you've done it in the past is 'bout the Only way to get it Right,....

Don may still have some installation manuals in the Adults Only section, but even then it don't give elevations...

I haven't got anything that will help. Volvo had a tool for the old drives that you hooked to the transom shield for drilling, but nothing for the height of the mount pads. Way too many variables for that.

I've always done it just like you did before. Set the engine with a hoist, and get the alignment bar in and measure for the pads.
Have done that many times.

Ok cool. I was afraid of that. I will go load up the engine and do it the old fashioned way.
