This may seem like a silly question, but is there any reason not to change the way my front loading gate swings? I have a Fisher 24 something or other with 4 fishing seats up front. My front gate only swings out ward. It won't swing fully open while on the trailer because it hits on the trailer ladder and I have to bungee cord it open to run my trolling motor on the front, and it is hard to load or unload passengers when nosed into a courtesy dock which is usually easier in any kind of wind. The side loading gate does swing inward but not the front one.The hinges are pop riveted to the rail and the gate itself but won't swing the way I want. Also the brackets that hold the bottom legs of the gate are welded in place so I would have to cut them out. Can I get new hinges that would still swing from the same side, the right side looking forward from the console, so that the gate would swing inward? I know that I can cut out the gate to help with the trolling motor problem but I can live with that if the gate would just swing inward and back against my battery storage compartment. Any help will be much appreciated.
