Re: Frozen anchor pin removal
CC,

You could give that a try - SS it tough to grind and even drill though.

If you have a rotary tool (Dremel) or a air powered grinder you can use cutoff wheels to cut through them. You just need a steady hand to prevent the wheels from breaking once you're into the meat of the pin. It takes about 4 wheels to get through it

I've cut them both ways and the sawzall is by far the easiest and fastest ( took about 1/4 the time when using a really good carbide blade) You only get about 1-2 cuts per blade though. SS is tough stuff.

Hey, If you are in the market for a sawzall check out sears asap. They have a Crftsman one on sale for 1/2 price this week ($49.99) Go to Sears.com and search for 00917104000.

Mine where really stuck - all that salt for all those years. The only thing that worked was the ball joint press (the big C clamp actually bent) You can borrow one from Autozone for free I think.

Good luck. Remember, whatever you do, don't get tempted to try to hammer it out. Trust me - I did on one side and broke an ear off the ring
