Re: Frozen heat exchanger

Many times it cracks the tubes or breaks them loose from the end pieces. After you get it thawed out, pressure check it to see if it held or not.

Re: Frozen heat exchanger

The smell is always worse when your not alone when you find the problem ;-)

It bent the ends out about alittle less than a 1/8, the antifreze is still maintaining the same level have diconnected all the fresh water lines

Thanks David

Re: Frozen heat exchanger

Just don't go crazy and put 100 psi in it.

10-15 psi for a hour if it don't go down your good to go.

Don't be surprised if you do find a hairline crack. Won't show up till you put pressure to it. Maybe won't even leak.

That Bond-O is good, real, real good.

Saw a guy pressure testing his drive with like 100 psi was wondering why he kept blowing all the seals.

I said 10-15 psi what surprises me is he never read a manual in his life.
