frozen prop...should I give up?

this thing is ON THERE. I shredded my old Merc R, and I have a brand new shiny SE106 sitting in my spare bedroom, ready to go on...but I can't get my SS prop off of my old outdrive. I have been nailing it with PB blaster and beating on it for 2 days, and its not even budgin. Prop is a SS 3 blade, I have no idea the pitch and size, etc...prop has seen better days, has some gouges and slight ripples in the edges, but the overall shape looks good. Boat has been repowered by a previous owner from a Merc 4.3 to a Merc 5.7, so I'm assuming it would benefit from a prop correctly sized for the power/drive ratio. Am I wrong? Is it worth having the shop pull this frozen prop off? Or should I buy a new one the correct pitch/size. I just looked over the sticky post for prop sizing, and before I jump into that whole world of numbers, I'm hoping to avoid buying a new prop. My wife may shoot me over it. Thanks...

Get a puller on there and press it off. With replacing the entire drive you don't have to be gentle to the drive to save the prop.
If you can't get it off that way you could slide hammer it.
