I have a 1996 C40 Yamaha (trim and tilt). It is one tough outboard. I went out to check on the boat today and noticed that the ground (frozen) heaved up and covered my skeg about 3 inches. The outboard has a little play in the trim and tilt (about half an inch at the cavitivation plate). It won't go up, but will go down. I was hoping to sell the outboard before spring, and am worried about having to put money into it.
