Frozen steering

Hi,

Due to an illness, my 1991 180 TF Nitro sat for 3 years. Now that I am healthy again I want to start fishing again. Upon preparing the boat I found that the steering is frozen in both directions. Is there anything I can do short of taking it to the shop to get it unfrozen. Was able to get it started and running and from as far as I can tell everything else works. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Take it loose from the motor and determine if its the cable or the motor froze.

I have taken it loose and the motor moves freely. As to a manual, I have a manual for the motor but there is nothing in it reference steering what type of manual are you referring to and could suggest where to get it.
