Frozen Water Tube

I have a 1988 9.9 Sail Drive Evinrude. I am replacing the swivel tube and consequently removed the powerhead. I forced the engine block from the midsection and broke the water tube out of the exhaust extension housing by accident (there were a lot of mosquitoes). The tube is OK. I have a new exhaust extension housing and grommet but cannot remove the tube from the midsection. Tried PB Blaster etc but this thing is stuck in the midsection. Any tricks or ideas? Really need help before more destruction ensues.

remove the lower unit, you should change impeller anyway, you will likely find there is an opening in the extension piec if the lowerunit.the copper water tube and the aluminum have corrosive action, the tube becomes packed into place with corrosion, you should be able to clean it once removed from midsection

Yeah I have it all apart (midsection and powerhead) but both ends of the tube are stuck in the midsection. Any ideas on how to free it from the corrosion that is bonding it together? Thanks again

Marvel mystry oil is what I like to use.It will require patience Figure out a way to soak each joint. This stuff works pretty quick but takes a little time.

get a bottle of mapp gas,and torch tip, heat the surrounding areas and use a rubber mallet, you may be able to vibrate the corrosion out,or you could sacifice the tube,or,rather than distroy the whole tube,i think you can cut the tube saving the top end ,then go to a plumbing supply and get a coupling and new piece of copper
