From what is have read on other sites, MFG was one of first companies to use FRP, or, Fiber Reinforced Plastic. It is a compressed, moulded product, verus an process layed down on wood, or a form. My question is this. Does this have the same, end result, or is one structurally stronger than the other? When repairing the FRP product, should there be any special consideration because of the different processes. When using regular, fiberglassing techniques. I have just bought what I believe is a late 70's Royal Caprice. It is a bright orange, over the entire body. The seam at the front lost a battle with a dock, and was crunched a bit. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this site, and have read enough comments to know there is ALOT of expertise out there. Thanks, again for your help.
