frustrated with electrical stuff

ive got a 86 125hp that is not firing on the 3rd cylinder. i asumed it the igntion coil so i replaced that....no it wasnt...still not firing i swapped electrical leads on the back of the ignition coil from the 3rd to the 4th cylinder(orange and red leads)....3rd cylinder still not firing....can i assume that is the power pack now...i have a seloc manual but i think the troubleshooting is not very vaguely im not electrically inclined but i got a volt meter and i can vaguely read a wiring diagram. any help would be greatly appreciated

also does anybody know where can i get a used power pack new ones are ungodly expensive
