Is there a tool for installing plastic retainer straps on fuel and oil lines? If so, where can I find one. If not, what do you use after you cut off a plastic strap to replace a fuel or oil line?

Me, I use stainless steel hose clamps. The only trick with them is not to overtighten. If you do, you'll crack the tubes they attach to if they're the plastic ones. Just snug 'em down.

Those retainer straps are really just electrical wire ties and you can get them and the tool to tighten them at you local hardware store in their electrical department. Cost for tool is about $9.

Get the good electrical wire ties, not the cheap ones that come in the assortment package. The good ones have a stainless steel lock

Also, get the black UV ones not the white ones. The white ones deteriate much quicker when used outdoors.

OR.....get some #6 Snap Clamps. You only need a pair of pliers to close them tight. #8 for the 5/16 fuel lines.
