does anybody know what difference a 82 style fuel pump on a '78 115 might make? also is there any correlation between johnson jet sizes( 54c for example) and orifice diameter (54c=.054)? this one is not fuel related but are resistor wires for the plugs ok? napa says sure boat dealer is along ways off and I thought I read somewhere that it's not good but I can't remember if that was suppresion or resistor. thanks alot odd questions from a bored mind (can't wait to fix the boat, camper and tukey hunt so I can fish.

unless your manual says otherwise, use only real copper wire for the plugs. it makes a differance. there are posts that explain it.
Richard

Your Napa guy is wrong. Only use wire core sparkplug wires. Too much resistance in the fancy auto wires. They can damage your coils and cd unit/switchbox.

By the way, Napa carries a complete line of marine parts, including plug wires. Funny he didn't know that.

You should be able to get a set of plug wires made up at any small engine repair shop, and at a full service auto parts store.
