Currently using about 20-30 gallons fuel with 350 mag in 25' boat. Capacity is 65 gallons. Will a 8.2 with 50 gallon tank be a problem? Like not having to worry about filling up on water now.

Re: fuel capacity

are you talking about a new boat or just adding a 8.1 and larger fuel tank to yours? Also what type of boats are in question? 50 gallon may be fine for a 25 foot bowrider but a cruiser 50 gallons is small. My 25 foot cruiser with a 5.0 had a 90 gallon tank.

Re: fuel capacity

Depends on the type and where you boat. A 50 gallon tank would be OK for a lake. Not so good for boat used on the coast. My 22' has a 200 HP outboard with 150 gallon tank capacity. I can put a pretty good dent in the 95 gallon main tank on a given day
