I have a 1984 1752 Sea Nymth mod-v jon. She is powered by a 84' 50hp mercury. I am remodeling the boat and want to move the fuel cell to the front. The fuel cell will be 12 feet from the motor. I wanted to run 5/16" fuel line.

Is this an issue, and will it cause the motor to run lean?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Probably. Not to run lean, but to run at all. 12' is a pretty good distance for that small of a line with a 50 hp engine.....but you don't know till you try it. Fuel line is not that expensive and worth a try. Then if it doesn't work, you can adapt up to 3/8" and you should be good to go.

If you decide to go for it, get it all plumbed up and get out on the water. If all's good, great. If the engine stutters/stammers at WOT, squeeze the primer bulb. If the engine recovers, then increase the diameter of your line.

Simple as that.

HTH.
