Fuel contamination

I am a bit worried as the fuel container used to purchase petrol in was initially filled with diesel.If the petrol is contaminated with a little diesel,could it damage my small 4-stroke
outboard?

Unless you're talking a pint to the gallon, I wouldn't worry about it.
