fuel dripping near arrestor --help

I recently purchased a boat and it has a volvo penta 3.0. I ran it for the first time today at a local lake and I notice a strong fume smell. When I opened up the cover to see the motor, I notice fuel dripping slowly near the arrestor. What do I need to do to fix this? Is this normal? How much is this going to cost and it is simple to fix? I'm a newbie to boating. I also attached some pictures of the trouble area. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like you have to remove the carb and tighten the accelerator pump cover.

Air out the boat real good. Gas fumes are heavier than air and will settle in the lowest part of the boat. Gas fumes are EXPLOSIVE! Put a fan about 10 feet away and blow air at the engine for an hour...until there's no more gas smell.

Or install a new diaphram & gasket on the accelerator pump cover to get it to stop leaking. If your engine is a volvo then more then likely you have a holly style carb on your engine.:)
