I'm replacing my fuel fill but wasnt sure if I should seal it some how? There was nothing behind the old one but it seemed like a good idea to prevent water from getting into the hole in the hull.

Forget water, I'd wanna seal out any spilled fuel. I'd seal it with some kind of fuel-resistant sealant. Not sure if 3M 5200 or 4200 are fuel resistant. If they are I'd go with either of those.

The hole in the deck where fuel hose goes. How about permatex?

OK, you didn't mention where the fill is located, side, on an angle, on top, etc. It should come with a gasket and if so use nothing else, if not use your permatex or silicone. While gas may splash on it, it shouldn't say there, should drain off. Using the 3M stuff will make I real hard to remove if needed to do again.

It is on an angle and neither the old one or the new one had a gasket. This is the first one I have done so just wanted to be sure.
