fuel filter 9.9hp Johnson

Can anyone tell me how to put back together the fuel filter parts on my 1980 9.9HP johnson? Maybe a picture or drawing? I took it off to work on thermostat and it all fell apart after taking screws out and I messed up the order of the parts. I tried putting it back together and gas sprays out when I squeeze bulb. I have a Clymer manual, but it doesn't help.

This is as detailed as anything I've ever seen(more actually). Take a good look at everything Mr. Wiesner has to say as I think it is a must read for 9.9 and 15 owners. In the future only remove the two mounting screws and the other two will hold it together. Enjoy and good luck. Rick.

Edit. It is a fuel pump. It has a filter screen but it is a fuel pump.
