Fuel filter for 5.7 GXI-D shouldn't be this hard

which is the correct fuel filter for my engine? When I search for the VP part #, I see a pumice looking thing with a rubber grommet. that can't be right. help!

It would be great if iBoats had the capability to save my boat information and provide the parts that are applicable. seems like nowhere has that. business opportunity for somebody out there!
