Fuel Filter Replacement on Cobra 5.0 SX

I recently purchased a 1995 Four Winns 200 Horizon with a 5.0 Cobra SX. I'm looking to replace the fuel filter and am unsure of the different options. I've used ********* to purchase all of my supplies thus far. The options include fuel filter, fuel filter element, and replacement filter 10 micron with different part numbers. Prices range from 3.99 to 31.99. Boat isn't currently handy to take a look at the current filter, but can I get some help with these different filter types/parts so I can understand what I need?

There's 4 models for 1995 and 6 models in 1994 (carb and EFI, yours could be any one of them)

Note your model number and have a look at http://epc.brp.com/ to see parts breakdowns. You can probably find what you need.

I thought I only saw one (spin-on) filter in the parts breakdown for either the carb or EFI model. (there might be a small filter in the carb itself)

The "spin-on" is pretty standard. West Marine and others will stock it.

I have a 1993 omc 5.0 cobra and it sputters both going forward and in reverse until it takes off. I think it is running rich and I am hoping that changing the fuel filter will fix the problem. ???? Any suggestions? Thanks
