I've got a 1985 150GT Evinrude motor. Just curious if it's best to use the little factory fuel filter or if anyone uses some sort of aftermarket inline filter.
The water separating full-sized fuel filters are a much better choice. They should be mounted near the tank and higher than the tank if possible. The water separator function depends on gravity, so the filters needs a permanent base.
