Quick back story.. I have a 1987 Black Max xr2 150 and recently when putting it in the water and getting ready to leave the boat dock I have had hard time getting on plane. I can give it full throttle and it bogs down but after a few mins it gets the power and gets up on plane. It will be fine the rest of the day just the first time it gets up on plane. I have replaced the spark plugs and fuel filter. I am rebuilding the fuel pump when the kit comes in Monday or Tuesday. If yall have other ideas of what it might be feel free to give me some ideas.
The main question I wanted to ask is, when I put the new fuel filter on and squeeze the ball, it only fills up to about half way. Is it suppose to fill up all the way, or is it normal for it to only go up half. The previous fuel filter wasnt one that you could see thru an see the gas so I have no idea how much it would fill up. Even when running at idle an on the water it never goes above half full..
