I am winterizing my 1989 Sea Ray 200, with a 3.0L I/O I could not find a fuel filter on this anywhere. I removed the fitting at the carbuerator and no filter and don't see a water/fuel seperator in line before the fuel pump. Do I need to install one or both of these?

Re: Fuel filters

I can almost guarantee that you have a fuel pump in there somewhere. Whether it's at the tank, positioned near a priming pum, under a deck access hatch, or something else.

Can you get with your local Sea Ray dealer?

Re: Fuel filters

That motor should have 2 filters. One inside the inlet to the carb. Use an open end wrench to remove the fuel line nut and it'll be inside. Its the big nut not the little one.

The other is inside the fuel pump. Remove the wing nut that holds the wire bale on the top and the bowl (cap) will come off. Its underneath.

A 10 minute job for both.

I don't believe they put water sparators on back then.
