Fuel Filters

I am about to change the filter in my Water/Fuel separator. I can get an after market filter for about $25.00 or Mercury or Raco filter for about $65.00. I?m not sure wether I need to spend the extra money. Does anyone have any advice on these filters please.

What type or make is your filter. I have a Mallory and the replacement filters are only around $10 or so.
