The fuel pump on my old 160 merc went out, first time ever seeing water too, and I ended up buying a fuel pump from Oreillys that is supposed to be good for marine. It's rated at 7 psi and like 60gph if I remember correctly. What should this engine have on it?

a true marine fuel pump that includes the vent tube that runs to the top of the carburetor. Oreillys doesnt carry marine parts. however most NAPA's do.

There's nothing on the carb for a vent tube to connect to. The biggest thing I'm worried about at this point is it's too much flow and I'm flooding it.

That pump won't flood it. It may however kill you if it is not vented.

If you do not have a port to connect a tube to on the fuel pump, its an automotive one and should not be used. The pump must be vented to work. auto`s vent to the atmosphere and to the ground, marine pump dumps fuel from a leaking/ruptured diaphragm up to the carb instead of the bilge or
