What causes the fuel gauge to flip from empty to "current level"?
Out at the lake yesterday, I noticed that the fuel gauge was bouncing from empty to 3/4 over and over again. And I also noticed that unless RPM's were up, the gauge tended to actually stay on the empty side of the bounce longer than the level side.
Is that a sending unit issue? I've checked that it's grounded good. And it is. The gauge is also grounded good.
I've searched here, but I haven't seen anything about surging / bouncing gauges. Not sure what the proper term to search on either though...
Suggestions?
Thanks!
