I don' think a Schematic is required. The body is grounded to the - side of the circuit and the center post goes to the S on the gauge. Short the center to ground and the gauge should peg past Ful. If it doesn't, it's a wiring or gauge problem. If it does, it's a sender problem. The sender is nothing more than a potentiometer. The gauge gets + power at the I post and - power at the Gnd post. The sender is a variable resistance device. Fuel gauges are basically ohmmeters.
