Not sure if this is the right place for this, if not please move it. I have a 12gallon scepter portable fuel tank that I would like to set up for a dash mount fuel gauge. I included a stock pic of the tank. What would be the right sender unit to swap onto this tank? Thanks.

Ayuh,..... If the tank isn't built to take a sender unit, it shouldn't get a sendin' unit,.....

Diyin' it can lead to a leak, which creates a BOMB in a boat,.....

There is a gauge made in the tank where the hose attaches, I've seen some units that seem to replace that assembly. If I can't do it that way I probably won't do it. I'm not really interested in cutting any new holes. I figure if that spot already has something attached it should be a safe place to put it and is flat enough to seal against. I'll take a look at Moeller and maybe contact them to see what they suggest. If I get an answer from them I'll update here.

Call the tank manufacturer. They should have a e-gauge sender that may replace the one there.

If they dont offer it, get a different tank, or look at the mechanical gauge
