I have a merc 40 4.0 hp ser. # 2596886
This is my first motor that needs a tank. Does it need a special tank or connections? Does it need a pump or something like that?

"40 4.0 hp ser. # 2596886" 1969. there should be a tank and a fule line at your Merc dealed some where. No it will not need a pump.

It's a 4hp the lid says merc 40. It is 1969.
