Fuel in Pulse line?

Still diagnosing bogging trouble w/ Force 85hp outboard.

I disconnected the pulse line where it joins the engine block & then pumped the primer bulb and fuel spurts out the pulse line - this would seem like an obvious sign that the diaphragm is ripped leaking.

Would that be correct?

Thanks for any help. going on 6th week of fixing numerous problems and am hoping that this is the last of 'em (engine bogging at WOT).

You are correct. No fuel should be present in the hose that goes from the fuel pump to the crankcase port on the engine block. Only way this would happen is if the diaphragm is leaking.

Excellent. I'm going to the boat this evening and I would be excited if it is that simple!

Thank you, Lieutenant.
