Hi all, New member to the forum. I have a 2000 9.9 Honda and a 2000 115 Honda on a Hewes sea runner. I purchased the motors new and have had no problem until now. I had to store both motors for over a year in Arizona, I treated the fuel in the tank, fogged and then drained the fuel from the 9.9.
The motors will not start. I have drained the fuel from the tanks, changed the fuel filters, checked the spark plugs, (clean, spark at plugs) treated and replaced the fuel. I replaced the water separator filter and primed the fuel system. Still will not fire. I will rebuild the 9.9 carb.
My problem is with the 115, is there anything I can do short of a repair shop (skill and knowledge lacking for an injection system rebuild) for the fuel injection system? I'm sure the fuel in the injection system varnished (the fuel in the tank and lines did smell varnished). Without the motor running is there a DIY product or procedure that may address this?
