Ayuh,...

Use 2 wrenches that fit Properly,...
Hold with the big wrench,+ turn the little wrench....
Tubing wrenches are a big plus...

It also doesn't hurt to put a dab of grease between the brass nut,+ the line when assembling...
And,...
Don't over-tighten them in the 1st place....

The only change I would make to what Bondo said, (except for the Ayuh of course ;) ), is that tubing or flare nut wrenches are mandatory. You just can't loosen a fitting like that with your typical open end wrench.

Of course if the one you are working on now is the one where you twisted the metal line off... then it is easier - you just use a big box end wrench and socket. Then, as mentioned, add a little lubrication when reinstalling.

i will have to invest in the proper wrenches, a little greae between the tube and brass should help alot also.
