Fuel Leak 81 john V-4 90

I gotta nasty fuel leak at the carb. I appears to be coming from the bottom carb where it meets the block but can't tell for sure. Tomorrow I'm gonna take it apart and see if I can find the problem. My question is what should I be looking for. Stuck float, bad gasket....any other common problems ?? Leaks only when running and it runs great.

I would check the needle and seat, make sure it stops fuel flow when the float bowl fills up.

Thanks....with the carb off can I check that by blowing into the fuel line and manipulating the float to make sure it stops the flow of air?
