fuel leak at prop area

my 40hp johnson outboard is now lealing fuel. the external fuel tank became pressurized by the sun and heat. now the fuel is leaking from around the prop. has anyone experienced the problem before. i need help and advise. 1987 bass buggy pontoon boat

Leave the vent screw unscrewed on the tank. It has be left vented and unpressurised.

thanks very much for your responce yepblaze. do you think i may have a motor problem now. do you think it is ok use or should i have motor checked now?

I think you are freekin out over learning the fuel system needs to remain vented. Hit the water and go.
