Fuel leaking from lower carb 99 Merc 30HP EFI

Hello everyone, I am new to this so I hope I do it right. I have a 99 Mercury 30 HP 4/s EFI, At first start this year it fired up but have a fuel leak coming from lower carb. Checked spark and compared the three plugs and the spark appears the same intensity, that I think means the coils are OK. ? The motor seems to run OK but for the fuel leak ,no apparent external hose problem the engine is used very little and it's kind of disapointing I can remember some of my families outboards and they seemed to run forever. maybe I've got something wrong here but how can a 4 stroke EFI have a lower carb ?

That isn't an EFI engine, Tony. It is a carbureted engine. BIG difference.<br /><br />Your lower carb probably has either the float set too high (or sunk) or the inlet needle is leaking.<br /><br />Because this is the Non-repair forum I will move it to the Merc Troubles/Repair forum.<br /><br />Good luck, and welcome aboard.
