Fuel leaking of Primer Flag

Have a 87 Johnson 150 and when I choke it I have fuel leaking out of the red flag It will run but seems to not run good and idles high.

Would this leaking cause the engine to run rough after start up? ect

It might if the leak is bad enough to allow air to be pulled into the valve.

You can repair the valve with kit #0437228 or aftermarket 18-0993.
